On the path to Exhaltation I Duke Lisle have finished painting these Skorne Nihilators!
Yes I did dip them! Also man does photographing with a DSLR camera/tripod really bring out the errors in your paint job that are totally unnoticeable from 1.5 feet away.

You have not completed 3 Oaths, you have completed 1 Oath and 2 Oath Additions. Oath Additions are not worth any extra points unless you use them for some of the 1pt bonus achievements. You must complete THREE MONTHLY Oaths to earn your Apprenticeship.

In order to Conquer the Void I Duke Lisle have finished painting these two Skorne Void Spirits. click for bigger picture. Speed-paint! (one afternoon) Inventory:
brushes used: p3 fine studio paint brush, p3 medium hobby paint brush (tips cut off for drybrushing) kolinsky sable standard brush #0 Army painter wargamer brush insane detail) don't forget a cup of clean water for washing brushes! 1.start priming with army painter color primer Fur Brown (way easier to paint yellow over brown). 2.then base coat (all colors Formula P3): yellow armor: 1/2 cygnus yellow mixed with 1/2 rucksack tan, add Liquitex matte medium or your mixing medium of choice. two thin coats does the trick better than one thick one. grey skin: watered down greycoat grey. blue ectoplasm: Exile blue with matte medium (1 to 3 parts). white cloth: 1/4 beaten purple mixed with 3/4 menoth white base, mixed with matte medium. sand and rock base: watered down bloodstone. 3. Didi's magic ink (brown), give each model a quick wash. 4. Highlights, detail, and drybrush: yellow armor: 1/2 cygnus yellow mixed with 1/2 heartfire. white cloth: drybrush menoth white base, then 1/2 menoth white base 1/2 menoth white highlight blue ectoplasm: drybrush successive layers of Cygnar blue highlight, Meredius blue, Arcane blue, then 1/2 Arcane blue 1/2 Menoth white base, then 3/4 menoth white base 1/4 Arcane blue. bone: Thrall flesh (so useful this color). eyes: Thamar black with a Morrow white dot (creepy no?) red jewels: Skorne red, then a dot of KAY-DOR red base, then a dot of heartfire, with a dot of Morrow white at the top. base (circle): Thamar black and Skorne red to mark the front arcs. seale with Testor's Dullcoat (don't spray too close, or in cold weather! I sprayed mine inside with a fan/window open/). I Duke Lisle also swear as an addition to my oath to paint for the month of January this heavily modded Molik Karn (because I need him and all these models for my Temple Con lists!) Attachments:
