Trollblood Sorcerer Brainstorming

Just got in my Trollblood Sorcerer and trying to figure out what to do with the scroll.  I want to spice up the model and not just do some scribbles on the scroll.  Right now i am thinking of doing a Ice Bolt coming out of the scroll or maybe a blizzard around the entire model.  Either way i want to alter it some how.  Any ideas?  Like the ideas i have or got one better post here.

A blizzard coming out of the scroll case could be cool, though I'm not sure how to model it.
